So I am from Stockton CA, which isAverageUndecided
So I am from Stockton CA, which is like an hour away from the campus. I also decided to live in an apartment instead of dorms since im a freshman. Honestly, i wish i would have lived in dorms because not living on campus makes it hard for you to interact. Sac State is mainly a commuter school. It is fun but if i had the choice to transfer right now, i think i would. Dont get me wrong, the faculty is amazing and the students are nice, i just think i would have rather gone to a school that is in a different atmosphere or that had more school spirit.

Question
I am a junior here at Sac StateQuite BrightChemistry
I am a junior here at Sac State and I regret ever coming here. I got into a lot of different schools, but I went to this one because it was the cheapest. I hate almost everything about the school. I cannot even get into the second class of my major because there are too many people going to school there and not enough classrooms. The faculty even accused me of lying about my major just to get into the second chemistry class. On top of that, in order for me to even stay on the waitlist, you have to not go to the class you are enrolled in and instead go to the class you might not get, so you will get dropped from the class you are enrolled in. The professors just told me "tough luck" and refuse to help me at all with getting into my class. They are not accommodating or helpful at all. I do like the diversity of people, and how down to earth people are, but if you expect to EVER graduate then do not go here. I am just wasting money at this point, and now I am forced to transfer if I want to graduate anytime soon. I would not go here until it stops being impacted.

Question
Not a bad place to pick up aBrightCriminal
Not a bad place to pick up a degree or two. Keep in mind however that it is the epitome of a communter school. As such you will likely not make a single lasting friendship here unless you are a part of the miniscule dormitory population. The students are among the rudest people I have ever met, inside or out of academia. Do not expect so much as an 'excuse me' or a courtesy nod. Best advice: keep your head down, and behave just as rudely as everyone else, your time here will be over soon enough. On the plus side: the classes aren't too big and the professors are quite good. As long as you aren't looking for a social life and don't mind callous rudeness that makes Paris look like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, you can get a good education here.
