Pomona College gives a once in a lifetimeQuite Bright
Pomona College gives a once in a lifetime college experience that students dream about. The college is likely the most beautiful place you will ever live and everyone at the college (students, faculty, and staff) are like family. I've met some of the most brilliant people at Pomona and they are all well on their way to successful and happy lives in their careers. Pomona set me up for graduate school and I continue to return to campus to visit with faculty and staff - they don't forget you!

Question
I have hardly met anyone in my fieldGeography and Geosciences
I have hardly met anyone in my field that has ever even heard of Pomona College. Don't go to Pomona for the name recognition! On the other hand, I did get my first job (and I am still at the same company 18 years later) through a Pomona connection. Follow your heart, do your work and meet/talk to as many people as possible!

Question
I believe Pomona is the ideal place forQuite BrightEconomics
I believe Pomona is the ideal place for students who are driven and passionate about success in academics and extracurriculars. Pomona is distinguished from other top-20 colleges by the fact that the administration wants students to learn AND have fun. That quality led me to choose it over the traditional "home run" colleges Harvard, Brown, and Amherst. Coming to Pomona has truly raised my standard for happiness - I've met great people, learned amazing things, and found a balance my high school life was lacking.
