I’ve been here three years.BrightMath
I’ve been here three years.. it’s cool but not as cool as I might have thought. My brother just graduated from here as well and he still hasn’t found a job 7 months so don’t think the name is going to save you. The campus is beautiful I’ll give it that…. I’m a little disappointed in the make up of the student body however. Like another poster said women on campus aren’t that much too look at. I’m getting sick of the Apple “think different attitude around campus”. Yes I’m asian and there are plenty here on campus so don’t act shocked when if you decide to come here. I thought I was pretty lucky too get in here after I was turned down at a few other schools. So don’t forget to apply everywhere.

I applied to only 3 schools when ISuper BrilliantEconomics
I applied to only 3 schools when I was in high school: Stanford, Harvard and UC Berkeley, and I don't regret my choice of turning down Harvard and Stanford to attend Berkeley. Berkeley professors are second to none and the quality of education that you can earn from this university is no less than stellar... that is, only if you put yourself to hardwork and make some serious efforts to see your professors during office hours.I have no question about the quality of education that you can get from this school; it's really top-notch, but one thing that I was seriously dissappointed with was the quality of the student body... The Berkeley campus has a good share of "historically/socioeconomically/etc(BS)...disadvantaged" group of students whose academic achievements are far below the school average (their SAT scores are normally in the low 1000s). And we have too many--just far too many--ppl from community colleges... But don't panic; Berkeley has among the highest number of National Merit Scholars in the nation and the entire student body minus the "disadvantaged/transfer" group (let me refer to them as the "bottom 30%" group) is an incredible group of exceptionally intelligent scholars with high school GPAs well over 4.4s and SAT scores in mid to high 1500s range.

The only reason I went here was becauseQuite Bright
The only reason I went here was because my Uncle went here. From what he’s told me things have really changed around campus (Demographically that is). I get this feeling the good old days at Berkeley are gone. It’s a great school don’t get me wrong but I think the old and new Berkeley are miles apart.

Some people cry about the women which is true, but from what I hear it’s not as bad as UCSD. Although the campus from the outside looks beautiful the dorm rooms are flat out nasty!
