Okay... so i am about to transfer toEconomics
Okay... so i am about to transfer to ucdavis in the fall. i have lived in los angeles forever and although accepted to berkeley and ucla, i chose ucdavis because i really need a change of pace and i fell in love with the town the first time i visited.

i have one simple question for the previous commenter -- why is it that you label yourself "extremeley bright", yet you cannot spell worth shit??? you seem to complain a bunch about the difficulty of the book and the lack of interest from the professors, but from your writing, i can honestly say i would not invest much energy into you either. maybe you should have put more effort into your studies throughout school and you would not be so behind now.i suggest you count your blessings that you slipped through the cracks and made it into the uc system and stop blaming others...

Question
The EE dept at UCD is terrible.Quite BrightComputer Engineering
The EE dept at UCD is terrible. The faculty don't know the subject matter they are teaching so you have to learn from the book. Learning from the books is impossible because they choose books only because students can't find the HW answers to the book's questions. DON'T GO TO UCD. I know EE grad students who can't get jobs because they don't even know about the electricity that comes out of a wall socket!! The courses are difficult because as a student, you can't learn. The courses miss many many topics that are important in EE.

Question
At Davis there is a clear devide.BrightPolitical Science
At Davis there is a clear devide. Students that attend Davis as Freshman, seem to absolutly love it; however, for transfers from other univerities, or JCs attending school here is a much less enjoyable experince. Almost every transfer student that I've talked to complains about how hard it is to become connected here, and this has also been my experince. The UCD students are friendly, but also very clicky, and difficlut to form friendships with. If I knew then, what I know now, I would never have transfered here. I know another transfer student that jsut droped out and went home becuase of the loneliness, and I think his example shows the severity of this problem. So for incomming Freshman DAVIS ROCKS you will meet alot of friends in the dorms and classes and most seem to have a very postive college experince..... But for new Transfers Davis can be a very aleinating, misirible, lonely place......
