There are good days, and there are badQuite BrightArchitecture & Urban Planning Department
There are good days, and there are bad days at this school. Come to school here with the capacity for advocacy, and the will to put forth the effort to create reciprocity within the school...in other words, don't expect situations to be handled for you. The University will remove you in an instant even if by their own fault. The faculty at Howard is pretty good, they come from all over the place, and are influencial (some more than others) in their discipline. Every now and then you'll run into a teacher who understands the material so well, that they can't teach it the way you need to learn...this is where advocacy comes in, it's imperative that you advocate for yourself and the others that you know, even though it sounds corny, the people that you go to school here with will become somewhat of a family to you, so do not buy into the individualism that is ruining us today...come to hu with the desire to learn and live and help out ur fellow man (yea it still sounds corny...).

Question
I have grown to love Howard.Quite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I have grown to love Howard. I am a freshman in the school of business. There are problems here, as there are in most other colleges, and especially in HBCUs. Howard is in a great location and Georgia Avenue is not half as bad as some students claim. Most of the students here are from the suburbs or the high class areas of other cities and get to HU, which is in NW DC, and think they're in the ghetto when they really are not. Don't get me wrong, HU is not some garden like setting or Harvard Square but it's not that dangerous unless you are doing something stupid. The students who do get robbed are the ones flashing a $400 treo 650, wearing $200 shoes, Louis Vuitton bags and walking around like they own the streets. Just try and look normal and not too flashy at night alone...HU has a great school of business and a nice variety of students. The mood here can be competitive and kind of high schoolish at times with popularity and the fashion show...At any given time, one can walk on the yard and see gucci, channel frames, real louis vuitton bags, jordans, and everyone has a northface jacket and a sidekick 2....thats why Im getting rid of mine.....If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me at
