Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I would never suggest going to this college. Not so brightFinance
I would never suggest going to this college. I am going into my second semester of my sophomore year and I am miserable. I've tried transferring to a number of different colleges but no regionally accredited colleges will accept me. If you have any doubt that you might stay all four years here, please do not waste your time. None of your credits will transfer. Also, concerning financial aid, PCC claims to be very helpful in this area. They are not. All of the admissions faculty are extremely impersonal and could care less about what financial struggles you're going through. They say that they offer scholarships, but there is only a small handful to begin with, and an even smaller number of students who actually qualify. Also, they only offer two types of student loans. The Pickett and Hatcher, and The A-beka Foundations loan. The first I mentioned only picks a small number of students from a each state. The second, can only be acquired if an EXTENDED family member will cosign. No immediate member. Concerning academics, PCC has a farely good system. However, they will load you down with TONS of homework assignments making it hard to ever have free time. Second, there are so many rules and things to have to remember in order just to keep from being expelled that it makes it hard to even focus on academics. These are just a few of MANY reason why I would suggest never to waste your time attending this joke of a college.

Question
PCC is not for everyone.Quite BrightFinance
PCC is not for everyone. If you want to have fun and goof of, this is not the place for you. If you are naive homeschooler, this is definitely the place for you. The rules here are terrible. The administration tries to control every part of your life. You can get demerits for something as simple not taking out the trash each morning. The dress code here is very strict. Men have to wear ties and sport coats nearly every day, and women have to wear hose and make sure that their clothes are not too tight or low cut. By the way, you can't wear jeans, A&F or hollister around campus.

PCC also has very strict music standards. Rock, country, rap, CCM and basically any thing that has a beat is prohibited, but PCC plays music in Campus Church services that is similar to ccm. If you are caught watching movies, you could get kicked out. The internet here is terrible. It is so filtered that you can barely access anything. They read your emails. They will give you 50 demerits if you use the word "sucks" in an email.

There is no room for individuality at PCC. Outward appearance is everything. The first amendment does no exist at PCC. There is no student newspaper, and students are not allowed to conduct surveys or distribute petitions.

Forget having a good guy/girl relationship down here. You can't even hold hands. If you are caught touching, you will get in a lot of trouble.

The academics here are average. Many teachers down here have book knowledge, but very few have real world experience. I have had some great teacher, and I have also had some terrible teachers. Many of your teachers will be GA's, and most of them should not be allowed to teach college classes. PCC is inexpensive, and your education will reflect the price. Remember, you get what you pay for. PCC is also unacredited, so don't expect to get your credits to transfer anywhere.

The spiritual life at PCC is not what it should be. Most of the students down here don't care about doing what the Bible says. Many of them are very carnal, and their lives reflect that. Going to PCC has made me very bitter about spiritual things, and I have found it easy to backslide while I am here. Most students put on a superficial form of spirituality, but when nobody is around they live like the rest of the world. Going to a secular school will force you to make your own decisions and not have them made for you. The administration makes you go to church in person of by video if you are sick. Most of the Campus Church messages are made for TV, so don't expect to hear much good preaching down here. Prospective students, please listen to me. Don't come here! This college will make you bitter and disgrunteled about Christianity. Go to a secular university. PCC will not prepare you for the real world, they will only brainwash you into their way of view. PCC is a terrile school; DON'T COME HERE!!!

Question
My years at PCC were singlehandedly the worstQuite BrightFinance
My years at PCC were singlehandedly the worst in my life. I left my Jr. year to attend a Big Ten School and have never regretted my decision. No matter how hard I tried, PCC faculty always shot me down. My grades were fine my attitude was in check, but they always found SOMETHING to give demerits for. It's ridiculous. When I decided to leave I put my few belongings in storage for the summer and returned to get them in the fall. After traveling from IN to FL to retrieve my personal items I was told that they "disposed" of them....among the items was a quilt my grandmother had handmade. I was irrate---they were indifferent. Don't waste your money on an unaccredited program that will impose useless rule upon rule in an attempt to make you the robot they desire. It is a cult-like institution! Don't do it!
