Berry is a beautiful school but don't let that sick you in... Berry will suck you dry of your life and money, I have never been so depressed in my life. I have transferred schools. And I can't be happier...

If you want to be babied by the staff and pay 36000$ For overly difficult, no more rewarding classes then berry is the school for you. Also the school is 100% Christian do not let them fool you. Not a day goes by where you don't get a email or someone telling you to go to church.

My favorite thing about Berry was the academics.Quite BrightBiology
My favorite thing about Berry was the academics. As a biology major, I found the faculty in my department incredibly helpful and dedicated to teaching. If you take the time, the small school environment allows you to get to know your professors much more closely than a large university, and that is helpful for letters of recommendation.

My least favorite part about the school is the social life and student body, although your mileage may vary. I felt bored and lonely, perhaps because I'm not into the perpetually cheesy extracurricular activities offered or in any religious groups. The students were decent enough, but I felt like I never fit in. They're pretty stereotypically small-town Christian--so they're very friendly, but I could never relate or make strong connections. Some people like the surrounding town, although if you're from a larger city like I am, you will probably find it very, very dull. Not much in the way of things to do or places to eat... and everything closes on Sunday. I left town almost every weekend for the whole four years.

Question
Berry is absolutely a love it or leaveQuite BrightPolitical Science
Berry is absolutely a love it or leave it school. Within your first year, you definitely learn whether or not this school is for you. It can seem isolated since it is located in a pretty tiny town, but that is pretty much the only negative. I have had a great experience so far with my undergraduate education. While tuition and costs continue to increase every year, Berry is great about adjusting your aid package to meet new needs that develope year to year. Before you attend, make sure you consider the fact that Berry is a small scool (roughly 2,000 students) and a large campus (26,000 acres). It can be routine to see the same people not only every day, but several times a day. However, if you are looking for a quality, southern ivy, education in a park-like setting, with world class professors then you should give Berry the attention that it deserves.
