The university is good because of the students,Quite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
The university is good because of the students, the campus, and the small classrooms. It's easier to learn in a small environment. The bad thing about it is that it's too small. It seems as if the school is trying to hold you back with remedial classes when you know you don't need to be in them. For example, I mad an 1100 on the SAT and was in Honors Calculas in high school, but I needed to be in 098 Math just to make sure. WHAAAAT! There is also no football team, band, track, or softball field. I play sports and know that we need facilities to help us train and get better. The weight room is the size of a closet, literally. Even though the school has all of those downfalls, I would never have traded my freshman year there for anything in the world. It was great. The people there would probably be the best people you ever meet. Everyone is a family and sticks together and that's what you need in college, a family. A lot of schools don't have that connection.

Question
Paine is a good college, the people (bothBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Paine is a good college, the people (both staff and students) are nice and easy to talk to...Paine is a small college and eveybody knows everyone...as far as the facilities, things could be better but you can't expect too much from an HBCU, we don't get a whole lot of funds outside of donations from alumni, etc. If you ask any student there, they would more than agree with me when I say that Paine is the type of school you have to take time and adjust to but it's a good school.

Question
I feel that Paine does not challenge theBrightBiology
I feel that Paine does not challenge the students and allows students to slip into a world of failure. There is a lot of talk but no action that goes on. The environment is warm however, not necessarily in a way that prepares a student for the real world. Paine College in a indirect way, encourages mediocracy. It does not encourage students to aim for the best such as attending graduate programs at Harvard, Yale, Princton, etc.

It seems that Paine does give everyone a chance, from staff to faculty. The staff seems as if they are getting their second chance at life(prison time). They normally hire people who live in the surrounding neighbor of the campus(which by the way are projects similar to many black colleges)and allow them to do work that can be graded as "fair" and at times adds to the "ghetto mantality."I believe that Paine is a good school that at times lowers its standards for students, staff, and faculty.
