My favorite things about DePaul are the locationQuite BrightAccounting
My favorite things about DePaul are the location and the small class sizes. Chicago is an amazing city and its great to go outside of class in the Loop Campus and find yourself in the heart of Chicago. The Lincoln Park campus is also located in a really nice, residential area. The small class sizes make it easier to meet other students and get to know professors.

Great university, which continues to improve and expand.Quite Bright
Great university, which continues to improve and expand. The professors were accessible and engaging; the coursework was challenging but not overbearing or consisting primarily of busywork; and the location is second to none, both for social-life and professional development. I would highly recommend this university to any prospective students looking for a memorable college experience.

Question
To get this out of the way first,Super BrilliantCommunications
To get this out of the way first, I really love DePaul. However, despite my love for it I can see why other people may not be so happy with it here.

Education: I find the class selection to be amazing. I also consider most of the faculty to be top notch, with many of the staff coming from other schools with good merit. DePaul uses the city to its fullest extent and really stresses interning. For me, I have always held pride in my intellect, and I am perfectly satisfied here.

Admissions: DePaul will let everyone and their mother in the school; this explains their horrible graduation rate. Most freshman will find the classes to be challenging, and combined with the toughness of classes plus the cost, MANY of the freshman class will end up transferring or dropping out.

Housing: The housing here is great. Most of the dorms are renovated hotels. I stay in what's considered to be the worst dorm on campus and I am completely satisfied. It's expensive, but it's Chicago. If you expect anything different then the city life may not be for you. Most all Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors live off campus.

Student Life: First of all, the students here are a lot of upper class suburban kids; whether or not that's a bad thing is up to you. If you go to DePaul looking for a party scene, I suggest you look elsewhere. All parties cost money and you'll spend hours just finding one. Other than that, seriously, you're in Chicago-- what ISN'T there to do?

Athletics: Let's be honest. The only sport here that matters is basketball. I go to every game I can because DePaul gives free tickets to all games and even rewards you with Nike gear if you go to enough of them. Our women's team is great and our men's team is rebuilding and really improving. It's really a shame how few students go to games. It's free Big East basketball!!! Really, there is a real lack of school spirit.Overall: I love DePaul. I am so glad I came here. The education really seems worth what you pay for and it's in the greatest city in the world. What's not to love?
