DePaul University

DePaul is an okay school. There is no social life and no traditional college experience. It's great for those who already have a bunch of friends, but if you're new to Chicago or just a shy person, I wouldn't suggest going here. The academics are extremely challenging and you will definitely have plenty of work to occupy yourself with, but to me the lack of community and lack of support was not worth it. DePaul is highly reputable and a big name, so I did not have trouble getting a job after college, but if it wasn't for the work study experience I had, I would still be out of a job. I would not attend DePaul again, but I'm glad I did because I developed a lot of character and learned how to teach myself (professors never available).

DePaul was okay. I thought I would be happier here coming from a community college in Chicago, but I was wrong. I met the same kind of close-minded, arrogant people. Everyone here is from the suburbs, so everyone has money and looks down on the homeless and poor and also minority. I couldn't tell you the number of times I was offended in class. Yeah, DePaul, great school. The only thing good about this school is the reputation. You will definitely have no trouble getting a job, because the school is known all over the world and in America, money is power so if you have the money to go here, you'll be that much closer to power.
