If what you want is to party everydayQuite BrightBiology
If what you want is to party everyday and night and not remember anything from your classes then tulane is the school for you. Unfortunately i have not been lucky enough to be born to a rich family while accomplishing nothing myself. The classes are mediocre and are not worth the 40+ in fees and tution. The faculty and staff are both sad. The science departments leave much to be desired, since the teachers and professors apparently do not have the skills needed to be a expressive teacher.

If all you want to do is party and get a C grade education then by all means go to tulane. But if you wish to actually retain some information from your undergraduate studies, and if you're planning to attend medical school and other graduate follow-up studies, then tulane is not for you. Save your time and go to a school worth it like cornell or hopkins or even your state school...

Question
Tulane is kind of like it's own littleBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Tulane is kind of like it's own little bubble, but not necessarily in a bad way. Yes, many kids are very rich because of their parents, but what can you expect from a private university that costs 40+? A lot of people get caught up in bars and frat parties, but New Orleans really is a great city, you just have to make sure you go out and see it. Classes are hard...you can fix your schedule so you can go out 4-5 nights a week, but you really won't learn much or experience the greatness of Tulane classes. Some people have problems with their advisors, personally I love mine. I really do recommend Tulane. Lots of my friends at other schools (Syracuse, Wisconsin, Berkeley) and had really hard times adjusting, while I personally have not been homesick yet. Dorms are not the best, but it's very easy/affordable to live off campus.

Question
Sometimes I wake upEconomics
Sometimes I wake up go outside with a bright sun in a blue sky and I feel that I cannot be happier. Sometimes I drudge from my farthest class on flooded sidewalks and I feel that I cannot be more miserable. But overall, Tulane is a good institution and its basically what you make it.
