Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Overall, Babson has been a wonderful experiance.Quite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Overall, Babson has been a wonderful experiance. IF you know you want Business I see no other place to attend. Everything is business related and you will find yourself using business terms on a daily basis to relate to non business areas. You learn the basics, the fundamentals, and also how to run your own business throughout the first year. While Social life can be a bit slow Babson is doing its best to change the social life on campus. The experiance is what you make of it and if you sit in your room all day and don't venture out meet new people and try new things your stay at babson will be a boring one. Clubs and organizations play a big part into your campus experiance, and with such a diverse student body there is an organization for everyone. Babson also has a very strong leadership program and promotes students to become leaders amongst thier peers. In a nut shell Babson is a reat place if you like a small one on one environment.

Question
I will divide this into positives, negatives, andQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I will divide this into positives, negatives, and neutral aspects that differ depending on you.
Positives/Faculty is amazing and always available, they will help you out with any questions you may have or advice you seek about business world. The classes are very interactive and there are lots of discussions. In fact, participation counts as part of your grade. You also get lots of hands on experience in business world starting from freshman year, unlike many schools where you have to wait until your junior year. The campus is serene and people are friendly, you can walk up to anyone and talk to them.

Negatives/They only teach business, if you want to major in something else don't come here. However, you can cross enroll if you want to take a specific class at several universities in MA area. There isn't really anything to do. The campus is isolated, if you want to do anything you need a car to drive to Boston, about half an hour.

Neutral/Two boys for every girl. If your a guy, there's a 50% chance your going to be disappointed. If your a girl, you can pick and choose among a pool of nice guys that are going to be obscenely wealthy in a few years.

The school is conservative politically. Then again, you would expect that from a college that stresses business. It's a breeding ground for future CEO's and executives.Final comment/If you know for a fact your going into business, this is the best place bar none. This includes any prestigous university you can think of in the world. You may be a little bored, but the time you spend doing school work is worth it, because you want to learn it and there are helpful people who want to help you learn it.

Question
Babson is career-oriented to say the least.Quite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Babson is career-oriented to say the least. Most students do not come here to find themselves; they have a basic plan of where they want to be in the business world. There is a lot of work, and the social life isn't nearly enough to provide an escape from it. However, it's not the partying that draws students here. It's the reputation the school has for producing business leaders. Most are willing to work hard for 4 years in order to reap the benefits upon graduation. The faculty are tremendous and encourage out of class interaction. From day one you are no longer viewed as merely a student, but rather a professional. That being said, they expect the best.

In my college search I found no school that came close to Babson's ability to provide financial assistance. Anyone can tell you that a private college in MA is going to cost an arm and a leg. However, Babson is more than generous in it's dispersal of scholarships and grants. Lasly, the school is 15 miles or so west of Boston. There is no better city to escape to for a night out. It's the ultimate college town.
