I sure hope thatNot so bright
I sure hope that one day I grow to love it. Unfortunately, as I reflect back on my experiences now I think of an unhappy and wasted few years that I could have enjoyed had I gone elsewhere.

Question
The school was awful. Not so bright
The school was awful. The average gpa is below a 3.0 (try getting into grad school with that...)The workload is ridiculously hard and the social life is even worst. There are only 1600 undergraduate students and the campus police loves to annoy EVERYONE. The location is in the middle of nowhere. The student body is all the same. Many are international and just take away from the fun college experience by isolating themselves from the rest of the community.

The average gpa is below a 3.0. This creates problems such as getting into graduate programs and getting jobs after graduation. The reason for this is the workload. Babson loves to throw more work at you then you will be able to handle. So your gpa falls to incredibly low levels and you wonder why you ever chose the school.

It is pointless while everyone else that you know is having fun in college you are studying 24 hours a day 7 days a week wondering when the work will end? Unfortunately it won't... and you will waste away what seems like all of your college life in the library and forget about the social aspect to college because at Babson there is none.

The social life was so bad that the Student Government Association needed to address issues about Babson's pathetic social life. They held meetings about how they could improve it but have done absolutely NOTHING to change it.

The location was bad because Babson is not in Boston and you need a car to get in and out. It is about a 20 minute drive and if you don't have a car forget about going in very often. First of all you have the workload to worry about and then you soon realize that public transportation is not very easy to access so your stuck in Wellesley, MA where there is NOTHING to do.

The student body is all the same... Your smokers who like to dress up in tight European style clothing and wonder how they can make lots of money. The international kids don't add a thing to the community and infact make it worst.

Babson can say that they are #1 for entreprenurial studies and the #29th ranked overall school for business in the country. Great... but all the other programs such as the liberal arts are awful. The liberal arts professors couldn't teach Kindergarten they are just there to fulfill the useless liberal arts requirements. Also the other business concentrations such as accounting, finance and management are not very good.

I made the wrong decision of thinking that Bentley was the backup school to Babson. I'm now at Bentley College after transferring from Babson and I love it. The school is not only bigger (4,000 undergraduate students) but has an easier workload so now my grade point average is signifcantly higher (3.7) and I actually have an AMAZING social life. I have already got an awesome job lined up after I graduate with Morgan Stanley in New York.

Babson College is definetely not up to par with its reputation. It is not the place to go if you want to do something in college that consists of activities other then sitting and studyiing all day and everyday.
