Beautiful campus and great professors who are reallyAverageBusiness - Management and Administration
Beautiful campus and great professors who are really interested in seeing you succeed. Easy to get help when you need it. I have friends who attend larger schools with great reputations, but who constantly have issues registering for the classes they need, understanding teachers who speak English as a second language, or taking classes in huge lecture hall settings. Overall, I like the smaller school size and individual attention I get a Loyola. Socially, this is a bar school, and I do wish there were more opportunities for social events on campus.

Question
This was the best decision of my lifeBrightOther
This was the best decision of my life to attend Loyola University Maryland for undergrad. The reason i love it so much is because they actually separate their English and Writing departments, which meant that i had the freedom to be a Writing major without having to take a bunch of english literature courses.

It's also important to know that this is a friendly campus, but it's also a campus where everyone may know your business before they even get to know you. It's like a small town pretty much. If you are looking to date someone who attends Loyola as well, just know that everyone is going to know about you and be all in your business (which is why i made sure my bf does NOT go to my school lol)

Also the faculty and professors are great, especially in the writing department. They are very helpful, show concern for the students, and make it known that they are here to help us succeed in any way possible. They are almost never late for office hours.

Although this school is predominantly white the students here are so friendly. Nobody looks at me oddly because I am African American. I feel just as good and accepted as the next person here. So if you are a minority i would recommend Loyola University Maryland to you as well because you will rarely feel like an outcast because of your race. Also Loyola University Maryland has an ALANA program which sponsors groups like the Black Student Association, the Asian Cultural Alliance, the Caribbean Students Union, and ALAS. I have made some of my best friends here. I'm a graduating senior and i'm very sad to leave because they became a second family to me.
