UMBC IS A VERY BAD UNIVERSITY OF COMMUNICATIONSNot so brightJournalism
UMBC IS A VERY BAD UNIVERSITY OF COMMUNICATIONS AND JOURNALISM MAJORS. MEDIA/COMMUNICATION STUDIES PROGRAM DO NOT HAVE HANDS-ON COURSES. ALL OF THE COURSES THEORICAL! THE CLASSES,THE PROFESSORS, UMBC, and THE PROGRAM WILL NOT HELP YOU FIND OR OBTAIN A GOOD INTERNSHIP OR JOB AFRER GRADUATION. If YOU WANT TO DO JOURNALISM OR BROADCAST JOURNALISM, please go to the UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND's PHILIP MERRILL COLLEGE OF JOURNALISM OR ANOTHER UNIVERSITY. THE MCS PROGRAM AND UMBC IS A JOKE AND YOU WILL BE UNEMPLOYED AFTER GRADUATION AND BEYOND. I REGRET COMING TO UMBC. I HATE UMBC! THIS IS THE TRUTH!

Question
I had a really mean professor that wantedBrightGeography and Geosciences
I had a really mean professor that wanted to call out individuals who did not do their online class work. Another failed to update my grade for 2 semesters. The professors that were great at their job get stacked with the most work and I feel bad for them. My GES (Geographic and Environmental Systems) department has a terrible abusive supervisor. My friend works for her and she is verbally and physically abusive to her. Always wants to know personal matters. Just so much that needs to be improved in the faculty department. Campus is being renovated but faculty are there to stay? Doesn't make sense.

Question
I went here with military VA benefits thatBrightGeography and Geosciences
I went here with military VA benefits that were transfered from my mom. Environnmental Studies major. The Calculus classes were like a factory and the instructors do not take time to explain. Tutors are also not helpful in explaining. Anthropology was wretched because the proffesor was very difficult to understand and nebulous about what she wanted for the assignments. Failed those two classes as a result. Class requirements changed mid-way through and advisors NEVER informed me $1K out of pocket. Advisors were also horrible. Check the website if you want advice...
