I love GVSU.Quite BrightPharmacy
I love GVSU. Granted, it is isolated, but it's not like it's a 2 hour drive to get to any place worth going. Pretty much anywhere you want to go can be within 15 minutes. If the ONLY reason you're going to college is to party, you probably want to steer clear of GV. GV provides a first rate education to their students. And it may seem like a small thing, especially to entering freshman, but profs are SO easy to talk to and get help from, and they actually know the names of their students! I'm headed for U of M at the end of next year, and part of the reason I got in was because the students who previously went to U of M from GV did SO well in the program because of the great education they had. Now that's saying a lot. Some people seem to think that everone who attends GV is closed-minded and stuck up. But that is simply NOT the case. Just because it is in a conservative, religious area does not at all mean students are stuffy. College is what you make of it. Make the best of it, get involved... and you'll have a GREAT time. I wouldn't trade GV for any other school. Oh yea... and live on campus. It makes college that much better.

Put everything into your course work.Electrical Engineering
Put everything into your course work. Work hard, like your life depended on it. :o) A lot of us have (had) to work to put ourselves through college, but also try to get involved in student activities as much as you can. That's probably my major regret when looking back. Another bit of advice would be to students like myself who "know exactly what they want to do with their life" upon entering college (notice I'm not working in my field of study). Take a couple classes that "don't make any sense" in your major. Try something different, learn something new, take a risk, meet a different-minded set of students than you already see every day in all your major core classes.

I love this school, the vast majority ofQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I love this school, the vast majority of students and faculty are all very helpful and nice. The campus is beautiful, everything is really new and kept in good shape. If your interested, there is a lot of extracurriculars that are available. I have visited many of my friends at other schools and wouldn't think of changing my college choice given the opportunity. Allendale is a smaller town, but Grand Rapids is 15 minutes away, second biggest city in Michigan, so lots of stuff to do there.
