I enjoyed my time at school here.AveragePolitical Science
I enjoyed my time at school here. The campus is nice. It is kind of it's own little world, but the bus system is built into our tuition, and it's just a 20 minute ride into the city to enjoy the nightlife and the bigger city life. In my major, and in my minor, I really liked the faculty. I can't say the same for some of my general education professors, but it may just be because those subjects didn't always interest me. As I got into my upper level coursework, and really started to get many of the same people in my classes, I had much more fun with my coursework, and my classes became the most amazing learning environment, with everyone contributing. Given the chance to go back and choose all over again, I would choose GVSU every time.

Grand Valley has a beautiful campus. People say that the social life on campus is a little dry, but it really isn't; GVSU is right by Lake Michigan and Grand Rapids! There is little to no crime on campus and in the surrounding area, so students feel safe about walking alone at night.

Campus life is great and it is soBrightOther
Campus life is great and it is so easy to get involved with many clubs/organizations. Staff/faculty are almost always friendly and available to answer any questions you have. Professors obviously range in quality just based on teaching style, but most professors take the time to get to know your name and are always open to meeting with you outside of class to ask questions. Many professors include their cell and home numbers so that they are available to you as much as possible - even when they are not working.
