This is a party school.Quite BrightEnglish
This is a party school. If you're a serious student you should find a place in the more exclusive housing - ex. - an all-female house. I had to study in the library due to loud partying in the dorms every night. A large percentage of the partiers will be gone the second semester so it was quieter but still not good. The campus is so large that it's difficult to get from class to class. The wooded areas make it dangerous to walk alone at night on campus. This campus was not for me. I transferred after I completed my first year.

Question
MSU is looking to take your money. Not so bright
MSU is looking to take your money. If you sign a contract saying you will pay something, there is no chance of getting out, even in the event of school transfer. If you get accepted to U of M or somewhere else, go there, and maybe they won't try and steal your money. Why are students paying the University's court costs, which they have incurred due only to negligence? Because that is how it works at Michigan State.

Question
I went to MSU having been born andQuite BrightEconomics
I went to MSU having been born and raised a Spartan by 2 alums who met on campus and got engaged on campus. I came to MSU for a top notch education as well as to have some college fun. While I did have some fun (mostly drunken wandering around east Lansing or drinking in the dorms) I would not recommend MSU if you value your education or future career. I would say that more than half of my classes in the 2 years I spent there (transferred out) were not worth any money and did not improve myself at all. That being said my program, Economics, is often ranked top 30 in the country and it just shows me how unreliable college rankings are. While my Professors were extremely intelligent and knew how to do top notch research the majority of them could not teach. They (generalizing) were able to take a major that I love (currently applying for PhD programs) and turn it into an uninspiring chore. If you want to spend your college career drinking and identifying extremely closely with the football team (I like football and went to the games) go to MSU. If you value your education and future career I recommend you choose elsewhere.
