I thoroughly enjoyed my time at UNC.Quite BrightChemistry
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at UNC. There are numerous research opportunities in my department, which was crucial in finding the subfield I'm most interested in; I've been involved with 4 labs, and 3 were excellent experiences. Overall, UNC was a wonderful home during my time here, and I feel that it has helped me develop into a true researcher.

Question
The class sizes are large and there isBiology
The class sizes are large and there is very little student participation. Not much to do in Chapel Hill except drink at bars and go to sporting events. UNC does not put academics as a priority. If you are not in a fraternity or sorority, the is nothing to do. Also, if you are not greek, you will be at a huge disadvantage for tests because they save old tests and cheat from them. The professors mindlessly give the same lectures year after year and use the same tests.

Question
UNC Chapel Hill is like going back inBiology
UNC Chapel Hill is like going back in time to the 1970s for college. The fraternities control everything on and off campus. The town of Chapel Hill is boring; if you are not 21, there is nothing to do. When you are 21, crummy bars are the only option. The classes are huge and not engaging. I would have learned a lot more by just hanging out in a public library and traveling. People that went to private schools complain about debt, but you can get money back. You can never get back a waist of four years.
