UNL was not my first choice but IQuite BrightComputer Science
UNL was not my first choice but I am satisfied with my experience here so far. My quality of education is about what you would expect from a large, state school. People are very friendly and it's easy to get involved in activities that interest you. As for the social aspect, that is dependent on the person, if you're outgoing and willing to talk to people and find parties, you will, but if you're shy and not willing to go out of your way to meet people, you may want to make more of a conscious effort. The dorms are nice and clean and the buildings are well kept and very nice. If you're not a football fan, or unwilling to watch sporting events this may not be a great place for you as the football games dominate the weekends in the fall. Surrounding area is very nice. There are many restaurants to choose from and Haymarket is beautiful and full of fun shops and things to explore. Dining halls are clean, the food and variety are both substantial. Overall a great school to go to if you're looking for a very typical college experience.

Question
Red tape alert.Quite BrightArt & Design Department
Red tape alert. This University is bogged down by harmful policies, outdated courses, and unmotivated students. There is no competitive atmosphere, this is a one track school, you check their boxes, they give you a degree. Too many prerequisites and requirements which took up multiple semesters before actually getting to any core classes. The college I was in did not seem interested in supporting their students, very few scholarships and opportunities.

Question
I just felt like the classes were soQuite BrightAnimal Studies
I just felt like the classes were so huge that I was easily lost in them. You can be distracted and make excuses to skip class more. I also felt like the student body wasn't very friendly. People say they are, but I didn't join any clubs or activities, and it isn't like anyone said hey to me in class and asked to hang out. Granted, I talked to a few people in some of my classes, but for the most part, I didn't meet anyone new or make any new friends. (I also didn't live in the dorms.)
