I enjoy Marist College,AverageBiology
I enjoy Marist College, I wish they provided more degrees of study, such as nursing, and I feel as though I would have more fun if our school was more into the sports teams.

Question
I am a junior chemistry major at MaristQuite BrightChemistry
I am a junior chemistry major at Marist College. Marist is a small liberal arts college, which was a concern of mine as an entering chemistry major. However, after I met with the chemistry department and toured the campus I knew I need not look further. I am amazed by the opportunities that have already been offered to me as a Marist chemistry student. I have participated in summer research, attended national conferences, published a paper, and received a prestigious scholarship. Although the coursework is challenging, the professors are always available to help. All chemistry students who desire to attend a graduate program after completing their B.S. or B.A. are accepted into their choice of schools. For example, students in the 2009 graduating class are currently working towards the doctorate at universities such as Yale and Columbia. If I had to make my decision again, I would not hesitate in choosing Marist College.

Question
I love Marist because it feels like aQuite BrightCommunications
I love Marist because it feels like a home - not like my home, just a home. The people there are incredibly welcoming and friendly. It's kind of a "cookie-cutter" school when you first look at it, but when you look a little deeper there are very deversified interests and an incredible amount of opportunities to get involved with other students (as well as professors).

And even though Poughkeepsie may not seem like the most happening town, there's everything you need. Plenty of places to eat, a mall, clubs, bars, skating rink, bowling alley, swing dancing, small shops, rock climbing, hiking, hiking / walking - and that's just what I've found. As far as classes, Marist expects the best out of its students. The classes are small, so you're not a number... but that means your professors know you on a personal level and know what you're capable of - and will challenge you to do it. The typical student is helpful and friendy, definately grade-conscious, but not to the point where it's frightening or cut throat. The environment is generally one of aiming towards mutal success for everyone.
