I have heard so many bad reviews aboutQuite Bright
I have heard so many bad reviews about this university that it's not fair for prospective students and the university.

First of all let me say that your college experiance is what you make of it. Some have a bad experiance because of bad roomates or bad professor but that doesn't make the WHOLE university bad. Binghamton University is a great university. Sure it has it's goods and bads but over all I would say its an excellent school.

The good things about this school is that it cares about its students and well being it strives to provide opprunites and resources that are hard to come by nowadays. Like the CDC which personally helps student strengthen their resume and find internships. The Library is huge and you are bound to find something that you are looking for. Even the people are socail, you just need to take the step and open up.

The bad things or so one would say is the weather. The winters can be cold and snowing here. But the fall and spring are very mild and sunny. The food is another weekness depends were you live. Its better than High school food but still not 10/10The college experiance that you want can only happen if YOU try, this college is not going to hold you hand and give yoyu stuff. Besides, thats not how life works.

Question
Super BrilliantBiology
I would like to start with the education system here. With the price you pay, the education is not that bad. I am a biology major and I feel that the biology department is pretty good. The professors are friendly and helpful in their office hours even though you are packed in a 500-people lecture hall. I am also impressed by the fact that some of the professors actually try to learn your name, even though you are in a big lecture hall. Outside of the class, there are so many opportunities to get involved in your major department, research, academic clubs and seminar or even work-study. I started my work-study during my freshman year and I have to say that it is the most rewarding experience ever. The professor that I am work with is the most helpful and patient person I even met. Even though I am a work-study student, she explains in DETAIL about her project and what she expects of me. I tried my best and very soon, she even gave me my own research project. YEAH..OMG..the professors actually treat you as a student. I couldnt be happier. How about other departments and claseses? Physics department pretty sucks even though the professors are willing to help you. They cant speak English. I hate liberal arts classes here. The TA are not so bright. Don't argue with them. If you think they misgraded your paper or exams, talk directly to the professor instead of the assigned TA. I just hate liberal arts classes here.

Ok, now let's talk about the food. The food here is ok for the college. not very amazing, but I moved off-campus, so I dont have to eat in school dining hall.

Question
My college experience at Binghampton was that itPsychology
My college experience at Binghampton was that it was a cold environment, the "world renown physics teacher and pysch teachers and science teachers I was also premed, were either incoherent, you couldnt understand a word they said, didnt teach at all, or were whackos. It was basically a waste of my time going there and when I got out the 2 degrees I worked so hard for... psych and podiatry were both a big big waste of my time!!! neither field is good... DO your homework and go into something really practical and interview people and look into careers as much as possible.. the only reason suny b is competitive is because its cheap! Its also really cold, no help in the careers advisors dept etc, and the teachers suck. the health profession sucks now too dont believe what you hear on tv they are often 2-3 years behind the times and are often wrong!
