I'm going to give the best comment onBrightEconomics
I'm going to give the best comment on this school, nice and simple. Binghamton has pretty much everything but a football team. If you are the quiet type and like to be alone, you'd be fine. If you enjoy going out occasionally and have a small group of friends, you'd be fine. If you like big parties and having a vast amount of friends, you'd also be fine. Personally I'm the type that enjoys having a great time. I go out to parties and to the bars at least 4 times a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays in Binghamton are almost as popular as Fridays and Saturdays, it doesn’t hurt to go out on the occasional Wednesday either. Being an economics major it is easy to explain your GPA by opportunity cost. 24 hours in a day, figure 8 to sleep (even though that RARELY is the case for everyone EVERY night) and 3 hours for all eating and "bathroom needs." In your other 13 hours of the day, if you devote them all to school work; you will easily have a 4.0. If they are all devoted to partying and not studying or doing work you will probably be in the 0.0-1.0 range. According to your studying/sleeping/partying schedule you can probably figure out your own GPA. Personally, after 1 full year (2 semesters), I have a 3.0, given its not that good and absolutely could be better, I make my choices and would rather have a good time and go out more often. My school work consists of studying for finals and finals only, and doing whatever homework and papers assigned during the semesters. All the people who have negative comments probably didn’t get what they wanted. Maybe they wanted to be a part of Greek life and weren’t accepted or didn’t get a bid, or simply didn’t get what they expected out of college. They are people who can’t adapt to their surroundings. If you don’t like change, can’t make your place, are easily influenced and simply being yourself, DON’T COME. I hate people who say they hate to conform to a certain surrounding but if you think about it, everyone conforms. If you go out, just be yourself, talk to people, you WILL find people that are like you and have a great group of friends. The only problem that I have is that it could be bigger. Having an extra 5,000-10,000 students and a football team couldn’t hurt. The school is having a lot of work done and is making many improvements and will be a reputable place, probably once I graduate.

Question
The professors here, at least in Psychology, areAveragePsychology
The professors here, at least in Psychology, are VERY friendly and very willing to listen to any issues that you, the student, might have concerning your grade/issues with the material/etc. The same applies to the GA(s) that help out with the larger classes. However, the campus (in general) is pretty poorly laid out, parking is less than desirable, and the Harpur school dean's office has less than efficient means to notify students that any withdrawal paperwork has been processed. As a matter of fact, they DON'T notify anyone that ANY of their paperwork has been processed.

Listen, I was taken in by SUNY B after an Associates degree and 2 years of working as a draftsman. I owe a great deal to to the SUNY B and the people of NY who took a chance on me. Being a generation out of the mines in PA I cannot say enough about how appreciative of the U. Keeping things in perspective I cannot say enough positive things.
