If you plan on working in NYC this school is great for undergraduate. It's very highly regarded in NY and tri state area and is starting to make a greater presence nationally. It's very affordable and very diverse. It will make you look at the world much differently than a snobby school would. If applying for Grad school however, do not go to binghamton. It's really not so great for that right now. But making strong efforts.

If you are considering Binghamton, please take the comments on this website with a grain of salt. Almost everyone I know loves it here. Those who do not obviously seek out to find people who hate it here as well. The comments on Binghamton on this website prove this fact. I love it here. If you come in thinking that college is like what is in the movies, you don't belong at college. The people who comment on here negatively obviously came to college thinking that way.

“I really hated this school and wish IEconomics
I really hated this school and wish I elected to go elsewhere. I got a 1370 on my SAT's was in the National Honor Society, Natoinal French Honor Society, and graduated in the top 10% of my high school class. What did I get for all that hard work? Proverbially fucked in the ass, I went to Binghamton. Get out now, if you can. Transfer at all costs.
