I cannot believe the people who comment negatively about Ohio State and how they prepare students for the real world. Ohio State is the ultimate "real world" experience. By the time you are 18 you don't need someone, let alone an institution, to hold your hand. Go out and do something and experience the environment. If you are on here complaining about your education/social life/amenities, etc go out and do something about it. While you are sitting here ripping a university that has opened doors for thousands upon thousands of people, the students who get the most out of their time here are out meeting people, forming relationships, and figuring out where they want to go in life and ultimately end up happier and more in tune with the way life works outside of the comfort of university life.

As with an other college, OSU is what you make of it. Since it is such a huge campus it may mean that you will need to take initiative in seeking out resources, academic help, career guidance, etc. But the great thing about its size is the number of opportunities, extracurricular activities, clubs, traditions, people, etc. There is something for every single student to get involved in something they feel passionate about, so get involved! Coming from a high quality college prep high school, most of the general education classes have been very easy but the upper level engineering classes have been very difficult. If you don't feel challenged enough, chose the honors route, which is comparable to the nation's top notch universities. Basically, there is a solution for any negative comment about OSU but it is up to the student to find his/her best fit and the resources to help them get past any disappointing aspects of the school.

Ohio State is a HUGE school. It has 5 bus routes within the campus, so better build up stamina to walk if you have a tendency of going late to class. Infrastructure is good. Every college has their own pre-requisites. Don't get excited if you get admission to OSU. Seek info first about your intended college. Office of International Affairs are one of the slowest people on the world and even the academic advisers are extremely hard to reach. So when you write am e-mail to them expect an average wait-time of 2 weeks. As for the Business degree, you will have a lot of General subjects that need to be taken first. The main program is just 2 years in length. Housing on North Campus is the best. PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE A QUAD SHARING ROOM. Campus dining services are good enough. Surrounding city is very very small with nothing to do. Once you leave campus its all over. If you are a party animal, get used to boring house parties with music played through "youtube" on a laptop. This university has a lot of students from a country background so... don't expect super-cute girls. Good luck
