Ohio State University

Ohio State has a myriad of opportunities, however, I turned down many presitigious universities and accepted their honors program offer which I regret to this day. The honors program has a lot of potential, yet, a lot of work to do. If you want to go to Ohio State by all means go, it can be a great experience, however, you have to do it yourself if you want to be successful, because there are plenty of people that only this about partying and football.

1st Year Male -- Class 2007

Campus Aesthetics: A, Collaboration/Competitive: F

On one hand, my experiences with OSU have been very frustrating. The red tape is endless, the traffic and parking system is horrible, and a good portion of students are immature and self-centered drunks.

On the other hand, if you persevere, you can make OSU work for you. If you are a good student, the honors program does a lot to support you, and professors are more likely to give you individual attention. I am graduating with two majors and a minor, so I have been here for 5 years, but if you are bright student and plan ahead you can easily get out in 4. Overall, it is a very good deal for your money (if you're in-state), but be prepared for one hassle after another if you actually want to get your money's worth.
