UC is an ok school.BrightBiology
UC is an ok school. I don't regret coming here but I am definitely not staying for grad school. The staff could be nicer and more helpful. They do not provide much direction. If you need help, you have to search for it. There is a lot of potential for gaining research experience if you are a science major. There are also lots of on campus jobs. There is a lot of stuff to do around UC but the some areas are not the safest. Its also somewhat expensive for not being a great school. Its a good school for some majors like science, engineering, music, and art programs but for others you might want to look elsewhere.

Question
This school's financial aid system is completely messedBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
This school's financial aid system is completely messed up. They have made it more difficult for the students to understand by forcing the lead financial aid advisor, at the Clermont Branch, into retirement. When I had to redo my financial aid for the next year they claimed to have made a mistake on my previous year's financial aid and took more money from the bank and gave it to me to give back to them to cover the costs that they hadn't charged me for previously. As confusing as it is they decided to not credit my account and send me a bill for the charges that I paid that should have been paid prior! I am completely disgusted with this college. The financial aid staff, advisors and anyone that works "behind the scenes" have very bad attitudes and aren't able to find resonable answers for what happened and give all the blame to the helpless student. I do hope that UC can hire staff that will be helpful for their future students.. Another complaint that I have is with the Criminal Justice advisor. He told me that because I am epileptic I would not be able to do anything in criminal justice. I am on medication that prevents me from having seizures and I haven't had one for many years. I am in shape and am able to hold my own. I am glad to say that I didn't listen to him and spoke with someone who actually knows what he is talking about and found out that for what I want to do I would be just fine and whoever told me that didn't know what they were talking about.
