UC is not aQuite BrightOther
UC is not a student friendly university for undergrads.
It's a great school with tons of potential, but that potential won't be realized until UC gets rid of all the assholes who work there.

Question
If you want your college experience to beSuper BrilliantBusiness - Management and Administration
If you want your college experience to be memorable in a good way - WHICH YOU SHOULD - then seriously take a pass on UC. Just about everything at UC is half ass, but UC and Cincinnatians in general don't know this. When you finally realize who goes to UC it's more or less "Cincinnati's 13th Grade." Social circles revolve around Cincinnati area high schools, and in the Cincinnati mindset, high school is more important than college. UC is what Cincinnati HS kids do when their golden years are over and the next step in life is a Drees Home in Mason.UC is suffering from an enormous budget defecit and it shows in how "on-edge" UC administrators behave (they're all afriad of losing their jobs). UC is not a university that places students first. UC places the careers of it's administrators first, and students are left dealing with the riff-raff. Just pay your tuition and shut up and UC will love ya.

Question
I am a senior Fashion Design Major fromQuite BrightArt & Design Department
I am a senior Fashion Design Major from Ohio. I was admitted into FIT and RISD but came here. I made a TERRIFIC choice. University of Cincinnati isn't as well known among high schools students for fashion, but I can tell you that it has some of the best programs in the country in both Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising. The faculty is very knowledgable and accessible. In addition, the coop is what makes this place a stand out. We get one and one-half years of PAID experience, which really makes our resumes stand out. In addition, a lot of kids get job offers as a result of the coops. I will be working at NIKE....Woot.Honestly, you have have heard of schools like RISD, Parsons, FIT and Otis;however, I think Cincinnati may be even better than all of them due to their top notch program and coop opportunities. I would bet that our job placement puts us at the top of those schools. If you combine these benefits with Cincinnati being the lowest cost alternative among the schools that I mentioned,by far, this place is a steal. I HIGHLY recommend University of Cincinnati for any design major but particularly Fashion Design or Fashion Merchanding.
