Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I went to this school from OKC havingNot so brightComputer Science
I went to this school from OKC having okay expectations. I knew Oklahoma schools weren't prime cut or anything but I was really disappointed and surprised. Growing up in Oklahoma I was use to the hick/redneck sterotype but Oklahoma State fit that to a tee. I use to defend Oklahoma as state until I went here.... The kids are all hypocrites, Greek life is huge here and don't ask me why because it's a bunch of idiots who do nothing but drink and dress the same as each other. I'm afraid I won't be able to find a job outside of Oklahoma with this degree, and from what I've heard I probably won't be. Also Oklahoma State is getting this weird reputation of stealing other schools traditions. I honestly have to say I think there is truth to that. Half of our "traditions" are 10 to 20 years old and don't correspeond with our school specifically in any way. Students get aggressive and ignorant trying to say that a school founded hundreads of years before us stole traditions from us.... Just another ignorant comment from a student at Ok. State. I really wish I would have gone out of state after my experiences here.....

Question
This is a good, worldly university for theQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
This is a good, worldly university for the most part. There is diversity outside of Oklahoma on campus. Students and faculty do seem to keep to themselves unless prodded, but if you take the initiative, you will find that most people here are quite eager to strike up friendships and conversations, just not right away. Overall, the school and its faculty are from diverse and respectable academic backgrounds and are reputable in their fields. OK State is a good school to go to- clearly not the best, but definitely not the worst. It is a good fit for most people in the middle of the bell curve, and I mean that in a good way.

Question
The best way for me to describe OSUQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
The best way for me to describe OSU is to say that it is weird. On the surface, the University layout is nice, very compact, but outside of the giant Stadium funded by Pickens, the campus is quite unappealing. Facilities and classrooms are average at best. The biggest culprit for my negative review for Oklahoma State is the people here. 99.9% white and close-minded, which is the worst of both worlds. The white folks overrun the campus and unfortunately are racist here towards anyone who's "different". Externally, people walk around with their heads up their ass rather than talk to you or help you out. I would say, if you don't come from Oklahoma and have a lot more options to go to a more cosmopolitan, diverse and progressive academic environment, GO FOR IT! This school should be the last option for you if you desire a "well-rounded" educational experience.
