Amazing university is allQuite BrightEconomics
Amazing university is all I can say. Absolutely great in everything it offers and graduation surveys support this.Definitely recommend coming here as you'll find lots to do in Pittsburgh too (one of my favorite cities besides NYC).

Question
The Business and Engineering/Comp Sci schools here areQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
The Business and Engineering/Comp Sci schools here are absolutely amazing. Parties are definitely there if you want to go. There's always several parties on fridays/saturdays and even sundays. Besides, if you feel like you HAVE to party on the weekdays then you are better off going to a state university anyways. The nerdy kids here are actually pretty normal and the real nerdy ones usually stay by themselves in their dorms or in the computer clusters.

The female/male ratio has been getting better and as long as you're not totally ugly you'll do fine. Also, beware of drama kids as they are even more intense than the losers drama kids in your high school. Their famous motto of "we're the hottest" is only marginally true. They are insane most of the times and the few pretty ones are equally obsessed/psychotic.

Other than the crazy/stoner/psychotic drama kids, Carnegie Mellon more than provides whatever it is you are looking for. There are parties, Pittsburgh is a great city with lots to do, and the reputation of the academics is sure to get you a great job and career.

Question
It is a great school to learn bothQuite BrightDesign Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
It is a great school to learn both what you do and don't want to do in life. it is grueling and inhuman sometimes in terms of the amount of work. pittsburgh winters can be horrid and give people seasonal depression. but given the last two comments, you learn a lot about pushing yourself, figuring out your real purpose, and learning to have enough fun on the side and exploring the city to balance out life within CMU's small campus. the student body tends to be apathetic, but maybe we're so absorbed in work that it's impossible to look outside... who knows what being at a more liberal/fun school would be like...
