Question
I left Haverford after a brief period ofQuite Bright
I left Haverford after a brief period of time. If you are interested in rigorous coursework that will prepare you for any position or graduate degree after college, Haverford may be a great place. If you are interested in being creative, making art, exploring yourself, and having experiences outside of the classroom and campus, Haverford may not be the place for you. Because I did nothing but homework and relevant reading, I became extremely depressed-- the truth was that I wanted to study filmmaking and was getting no opportunity to even think about film. I know other very creative and artistically predisposed students who are either extremely ambivalent toward Haverford, periodically regret attending, and are also leaving the school. Really think about what you want when you go there.

There is a huge divide between athletes and non-athletes. School is great except for the student body. Everybody is closed minded, arrogant, pretentious, and unfriendly. It feels like you know or know of everybody so chances of making new friends are not good. Customs and the honor code are awful. The honor code in application is all about telling your peers how to behave, not being responsible yourself. Customs forces you to be friends with people you don't want to have anything to do with. Education is good and a Haverford degree will get you a good job but you have to s be willing to be miserable for four years.
