Where do I start?BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Where do I start? There are many good things about PhilaU and many bad things.
First, I do like the smaller school feel rather than a large school that has 200 to a class. I like that you almost know everyone and if not know their face. I like the location the city and I do feel Physical Plant to a great job considering there limited resources

However, I feel there's no consistency with lecturers in grading and course work. There's far too much emphasis on BS class's that have nothing to do with your major. Some lecturers are really friendly and others can’t give you the time of day.

Also, there’s no unity between different departments so it takes for ever in a day to get something accomplished , which should only take a matter of 1 phone call instead of speaking to 10 different people and be referred back to the person you started with.

I feel the sign in policies are a JOKE in IP; we should be able to come and please as we like and shouldn’t have to sign our friends in and out! We aren’t in kindergarten anymore; this is supposed to be college. The McGinn guards are a JOKE and a complete waste of money. I know understand why we need them, all they do is create a nuisance more than anything.

I have said my piece, but as usual at this school it will fall of deaf ears!!!!!

Question
Philadelphia University says its just minuets away fromBrightArchitecture
Philadelphia University says its just minuets away from Philly, thats a lie, its remote and filled with snobs. If you enjoy being surrounded by little kids from the suburbs, then come to PhilaU. Diversity, what diversity I'am one of about 15 Latinos in this school, not class, but school. The same goes for everyone else, they reach a quota and then stop the flow. This University will teach you the true meaning of backstabbing, your fellow classmates will screw you onpartner projects, this is great when working on a group model. You can expect a staff of workers who are dedicated to ignoring you as they do absolutelt nothng. I don't blame them either, I work for Dinning Services, so I know what exploitation is, and I wouldn't do any work either. What else can be said, how about a school store that dosen't carry any usefull materials, tha's great. Don't forget dorms with lead paint, no A.C., overcroding, broken toilets, worthless guards, pest problems, and leaky ceilings.

Question
Dont try to do anything important on campus,BrightArchitecture
Dont try to do anything important on campus, if you need assistance in trying to get anything done. good luck. because when you need to talk to someone right away about something, you usually have to wait 2-3 weeks before they acknoledge our existance. Do not have your family mail ou anything and expect it on time, expect it several weeks later then it arrives on campus, thanks to incompitant mail room staff. Family emergencies don't seem to mean anything to the faculty hear. your entire family could die, but if you dont make it to class, forget about your grades. As far as materials go, expect to spend lots of money becasue the school doesn't help you out at all with the cost, as a matter of fact, they overprice rediculusly. Bottom line....This school sucks.
