Some profs are flakey,Super BrilliantMechanical Engineering
Some profs are flakey, but overall at Temple you get a high quality education for minimal expenditure. The city is an added bonus as there is plenty of opportunity to spend time elsewhere, get jobs, meet people, whatever you're into you can find some place to do it.

Question
I transfered to Temple because I wanted toBrightOther
I transfered to Temple because I wanted to go to school in the city. I like the fact that I am in the city, I just wish the university was somewhere besides north philly. Overall I am satisfied with my college experience, but as far as dealing with paperwork it can be tough, especially if something gets screwed up and housing is shameful. I'll leave the housing thing alone though. Let's just say if you want to live on campus you have to be a VERY lucky person and if you get it one year be prepared to look for an apartment the next!

Question
While the faculty in my major is fantastic,Quite BrightSociology
While the faculty in my major is fantastic, I feel very unsatisfied with my University. The core admisitration, along with most of the fringe offices, make it clear that they are only here to make money. This University makes me feel as though I am only paying my dues, rather than getting a worthwhile education. The student population is quite diverse, as the propaganda goes, but it's not only in cultural background, but also attitude. Too few students are here for the education, as is evidenced by the freshmen attrition rate. Quite often the hardest work all semester doesn't come from class, but in getting the University paperwork sorted out. Offices frequently lose forms, misplace data, forget to notify students of important occurences (these often come after the fact,) and the list goes on. I have tried to make this school work for me, but I feel it is time to move on to another.
