Spend time hammering out your own niche.BrightComputer Science
Spend time hammering out your own niche. Find a subject you're good at and specialise in a really strange area. Find friends in 5 different cliques rather than always hanging out with the same people. Take stuff either that you want to take or that other people really believe it is important for you to know, but not courses which fulfill a vague sense of personal responsibility without being impressive to yourself or anyone else. If you come here and just spend freshman year hanging out with your unit (freshman floor), sophomore year with your suite, etc., you'll have wasted your time.Above all else, be competitive. It'll be interesting and even fun for the people around you, as long as you're friendly about it. All of us are pretty lazy folks and tend to need external stimuli to do ANYTHING.

Brown is truly a wonderful school.Super BrilliantPolitical Science
Brown is truly a wonderful school. The people are great, the classes are interesting and the faculty is interesed in students. There are plenty of opportunities to become involved in almost anything and the student body is incredibly diverse (ok, a little left leaning, but contrary to popular fact, we do have conservatives also!) My time here has been a fantastic experience. The school might not have the most money of the ivies, but it does allow its students an incredible opportunity to direct their own education according to their interests and to become passionate about a variety of subjects. I reccomend Brown to anyone!
