I loved attending Furman University.Sociology
I loved attending Furman University. It was definitely challenging academically, but I graduated with knowledge on how to analyze articles, write well crafted and persuasive papers quickly, and give a professional presentation. I also had wonderful professors who were very experienced in their fields, had the talent and proficiency for teaching students, and care about the all around development of their students. I had several close relationships with professors who became mentors to me. Also, Greenville is a great city! It has a beautiful downtown, hiking trails, community activities, and great churches.

Question
Furman is a great place to spend fourNot so brightEconomics
Furman is a great place to spend four years if you don't mind putting in more time in the library than most of your friends at other universities. Be prepared to work hard. The professors are excellent and highly accessible and classes tend to be small. The campus is easily one of the nicest in the country and downtown Greenville, which is only about a 10-15 minute drive from campus, is a beautiful up-and-coming southern city. The party scene can't compare with that of a large state school but downtown Greenville is a fun area and there are always plenty of parties on/off campus but not to the extent of a larger school.

Question
Do not come to this place! Students hereNot so brightUndecided
Do not come to this place! Students here are very close minded, there is no diversity, this school is a bubble! Unless you are from the South you will hat this school. Students here are very racist, even though they don't express it all the time. Black people mostly hang out with black people and Asians hang out with asians, because the majority of this school is white and white kids don't accept those who are different. if you are an international student, you will regret coming to this school everyone here wants to transfer to a school in the North. I love taking classes here, I love my professors and the staff, but the social life here just sucks! Do not waste your time and money on this place.
