This past year theyBrightPsychology
This past year they dropped requirements for admissions tests and let open the flood gates. Ironically, they have the smallest entering class in years. This university should be call "Furman College." It is the height of symbolism over substance.

Question
Furman is a great educational institution.BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Furman is a great educational institution. Given that it may not be the most fun place in the world because of strict campus security, the class work and teachers have undoubtably helped me learn and grow over the last three years. The Business Block, the core semester for business majors, was extremely challenging and probably the best and busiest semester I have had so far. However, despite the hard work and deflated gpa's, the Furman reputation does not carry its weight amongst company's. I have found that the school is viewed as just another southern school by HR recruiters and often asked why my GPA is not on par with other canidates from bigger and easier state schools. Consistently having to explain to anyone above the Mason Dixon Line where I go to school and that it is indeed a good university is also becoming very annoying. Amongst graduate schools, the reputation is much more on congruent with the actual difficulty of the school and admission representives will tell you that they do understand the difference between a 3.2 from Furman and a 3.7 from Clemson or South Carolina.

Question
Finished my freshman year and I love thisBrightPreLaw and Legal
Finished my freshman year and I love this school!.I worked so hard in highschool to get into my dream school, a top 10 liberal arts college close to home.I got in! My hard work paid off but no $ given, even though they claim a debt free education, no loans needed. This turned out to be false advertising. Furman came up with a nice scholarship but this was my safety school.I did not want to go. I knew FU had a strong academic reputation. My parents encouraged me to avoid debt and go to Furman who rewarded my hard work.I am happy the way everythng has turned out.The pre law program is excellent and the law school acceptances for the class of 2012 were exceptional.
