As many others have pointed out UTA isQuite BrightBiology
As many others have pointed out UTA is a commuter school and as a result it can be difficult to make friends because so many people just hang out with the same people they hung out with in high school, and it is very clique-ish. No one seems interested in meeting and interacting with new people, they just seem to want to get the day over with and go home. You should go to a more traditional college if you want the college experience (Tech, A&M, UT, etc), because at UTA it will just feel as if you are going to gigantic junior college where no one gives a shit about you.

Question
UTA is perceived as a good engineering schoolQuite BrightComputer Engineering
UTA is perceived as a good engineering school and it is but it does tend to lack in the small things.

Like social life, there were two new dorms built KC, and Arlington Hall. These were very nice, spacious and have comfortable rooms. But that was a problem for many people because they would just stay in their rooms. Whereas the older/not-as-nice dorms, no one would want to stay in their rooms so they tend to go out and lounge around. Thus they meet new people have a social life and feel more connected. Plus the factor of traditionally being a commuter school doesn't help.I've always been an above average kid so this is the first time I have ever had to study for any class in my life. But the work I did as a freshman was NOT channeling.
