The professors are obviouslyQuite BrightComputer Science
The professors are obviously just here to collect a paycheck and could care less if their students learn or not. Don't waste your time and money.

Question
The profs are helpful,Not so brightBiology
The profs are helpful, but administrators are not. Word of advice to incoming freshmen: DO NOT JOIN A FRESHMAN INTEREST GROUP!!! The campus is nice but there's not very many daily on campus social activities because so many people commute, which makes it harder to adjust at times.

Question
As is the case with virtually any university,Super BrilliantAnthropology
As is the case with virtually any university, one will get as much out of their experience as they choose to put into it. Opportunities for an outstanding education are certainly present, although one can easily coast through with minimal effort as well. Overall, I must say I have been incredibly impressed with the quality of education I've received at this state school.

Obviously I cannot speak for every department, but the anthropology faculty and staff at UTA are phenominal; friendly, approachable, willing to work with their students, and concerned with students' academic success. The department is small, enabling students to get to know one another and their professors well.

The Honors College is an amazing resource. Opportunities for scholarships and experiences (undergraduate research assistantships, study abroad, internships, etc.) are abundantly available to those who apply themselves. The Honors program will definitely prepare a student for grad school.Unfortunately, the campus is becoming more and more crowded each year, and facilities are not keeping up with the influx. I seriously question what is being done with my tuition dollars. On the other hand, a 24-hour on campus library with inter-library loan is a wonderful thing.
