The CSE Dept is ok at UTA dependingQuite BrightComputer Science
The CSE Dept is ok at UTA depending upon what you have been through. Bureacracy is the order of the day here. Faculty is generally foreign and pretty rude. The so called CSE-Advisors (sans Dr Linda Barasch) without whose approval you cannot register a CSE course have turned 'Advising' into sheer 'Harrassment'. Be prepared to be shouted at and even yelled at. With the exception of Dr Linda Barasch the CSE-Advsors will give you wrong courses!!! The Advisors have PhDs and should behave liked respectable people but they treat you like trash. I have never been humiliated as much as at the hands of CSE Advisors. Then there is an Instructor whose name begins with 'W' and teaches 'Alg.' and he talks too loudly. Stay away from him. He has the habit of kicking students out during his office hours!!! He did that with three of my friends. Unbelievable right? Thats CSE@UTA for you!!!

Question
UTA is what you make of it.Business - Management and Administration
UTA is what you make of it. If you want to have a traditional college life, that can be done. If you want to be a commuter that can be done as well. They have great athletic venues and a growing fan base. For anyone that says they did not have fun at UTA all I can say is that you just did not look for fun, you expected everything to be thrown at you. UTA is what YOU make of it

Question
UTA is not for everyone.Quite BrightFinance
UTA is not for everyone. It's a good school if you...1) only want a degree without ANY, and I do mean ANY social life at all. 2) financial reasons; UTA is very affordable for people of many social backrounds. 3) You can take classes in the Fall, Winter, Spring, Maymester, and Summer. It would not be very difficult to get your degree if you only have a very limited amount of time. I just finished my Freshman year there, and I'm now leaving for Texas Tech in the Fall. The students here are really old and I felt like a little kid all the time. There is absolutely nothing to do socially within this school. The only reason I kept my sanity was because I am already from Arlington and had already established a good enough base of friends; But if I came here from out of town, I probably would have just done nothing socially and succumbed to a dirty drug habit. Overall, for a real college experience, go somewhere else. If all you want to do is go to class, study, and learn another language from the MANY minorities who have ZERO school pride, UTA is the place for you. Honestly.
