UTA's just a fabulousDesign Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
UTA's just a fabulous place for an affordable education. I went to graduate school in New York City that cost 20x that of UTA. My experience was far more pleasant as an undergraduate student.

Question
The library staff is exelent.Quite BrightComputer Engineering
The library staff is exelent. But allmost all of the engineering Teachers minus Dr. Teirnan are of the attitude I have my degree why should I care if you get yours and there is one teacher who is the only teacher for this single subject, who is incopident to teach the subject, and this CSE department will not alow a transfer of this class into the university. Every other answer to a question is I dont know, or is a wrong answer. He has suceeded in making so many people worry about whether what he said is right that they bring their laptops to class to check his answers and the answers to question of other people and correct him every time his is out and out wrong, which was about 4 times this week alone and the class meets 2 times a week. You do the math. Also he will present a question to the class that he has no answer toO ie " List 5 things... and will only be able to list one alone and when the class gets stuck at three he cannot answer the rest. Then to add to his what-if teaching style his tests are subjective to knowing his mind an remembering an of hand comment he made in the beginning of the semester and made referance to it once or never scince then. He is known as the toughest teacher on grades because he expects you to learn this, to perfection, even with his misleading comments and incorrect question answers, ON YOUR OWN. he tests over the entire book on every test if you are lucky he will hint about what chapters he decided not to test on. this would not be so bad if only 90% of the test did not cover 229 lines of junk code so criptic it should have been written for the spy corps of the goverment and you have to trace it and figure out how each line will print and what each line will print. which to a guy who has writton code for a long time in C C++ and assembly language seems to be a little retarded if what you need to test is knowledge. knowledge of the subject should consist of testing the subject you are learning not how can I screw with this code so I cannot even understand it when I go over it in class even if I "suposedly" wrote it he complained that it took hime the entire day to write this test if he is a teacher it should be only a few examples to test if someone realy knows a subject or not. It should not take you all day to write a test unless you were out to prove yourself as superior to evey one else because every one knows you are incopident. which he is... and for as many people who have complained about this incopident nincompoop there have been as many excuses for excusing him. he is a moron and that is the bottom line and he is why among other things this university is not ranked up there with austin in engineening.

Question
For anyone who rates this school one ofSuper BrilliantVideo/Media
For anyone who rates this school one of the best schools, obviously doesn't get out much, much less out of Texas! This school is hit or miss. I have found very few talented and helpful professors here. It appears this university has many worst of the worst professors, the ones who couldn't get into a better university end up here! I am majoring in Film/Video and it has got to be one of the worst film departments in the United States. The film dept. faculty are awful, and do care about anyone but themselves. There is also a very evident and much talked about prejudice against women in this department. Faculty who who feel they are doing you a favor by being here and they could care less about how badly students are being treated. I am definitely in the process of looking for a better school and do not recommend the film department or this university to anyone looking for a quality education. Here, you get what you pay for!!! Not to mention, Arlington is such a repressive, depressive place to live.
