Positive Negative Neutral Advice

To be honest, I do not understand where all of these negative comments are coming from. Everyone I know absolutely loves JMU. The campus is beautiful and the students are friendly; you do not even have to pay for beer when you go to parties. Every weekend students have their friends from other schools come, and all visitors seem to love JMU as well. Harrisonburg kind of sucks but there is not much need to leave campus as a freshmen.

Academic wise I feel like I am being challenged along with my classmates who have different majors. Everyone seems to party hard on the weekends and hit the books during the week. I have personally only met a few people who have transfered out of JMU. As for transferring in, its pretty difficult. Its easier to transfer into tech then into JMU. My friends from tech love JMU, and they have suggested JMU over tech to their siblings.

All in all, the people who do not like JMU are the closet weirdos who do not like to go out and have a good time. You only go to college once, live a little, I would not go anywhere else. Go Dukes

James Madison University can be the time of your life. However, it's hard to find a niche in a school so devout to drinking. The average person you meet there isn't very intelligent, and the people find a way to be both outlandishly whore-ish and arrogant at the same time. I want out.

I only went toArchaeology
I only went to JMU because I couldn't get into any other VA schools. My experiences at JMU were okay. JMU has the ugliest campus out of all the VA schools. Being separated by 81 and having an industrial park on campus makes it really ugly. I wish it had a better aesthetic.
