I truly love a lot about JMU: the social life, the food, the landscape.. One of the best aspects of this university is the exceptional quality of education students receive. JMU is academically challenging (probably one of the most challenging in Virginia), but the professors here make the work challenging to promote use and development of critical thinking skills and in order to apply conceptual knowledge in unique ways. To me, it seems that students that graduate from JMU are typically well-prepared for any career opportunity or challenge they are bound to encounter.

JMU is a pretty school located in the middle of no where. I am in my first year of studies, I want to study accounting, however we have to take a year's worth of general classes that are not challenging and bear little relevance towards my chosen major. JMU is a great place to party - people here like to get drunk. The original part of campus (Bluestone) is attractive - the other parts of campus not so much. If you are looking to have a good time - this is the place to go - although its pricey - otherwise you could get a better educational bargain.
