JMU has a pretty campus but I guess that's all I get out of it. This school is a huge party school. If you don't drink, then have fun sitting in your dorm all weekend. Harrisonburg can be fun if you know where to look but it's hard to find things to do. The student body is not nearly diverse as they make it sound. I cannot tell the differnce between most people here. All the girls are tinted orange and wear north face and uggs. It may just be me, but A LOT of the kids here are Greek. So if you are into conformity and the smell of dog food in the morning(there's a chicken plant nearby), you'll love it here. I hope to transfer.

I am from out of state and I love going to school in Virginia. I am surrounded by diverse people and there isn't any "typical" student at JMU, everyone differs.

I am only a second semester freshman but I absolutely love JMU. There is always a friendly happy environment around campus. The food is good and there is a lot to choose from. I always feel safe on campus and even off campus too. Its a great place here!
