My four years at Randolph-Macon Woman's College werePolitical Science
My four years at Randolph-Macon Woman's College were tremendous. I was VERY well prepared for law school. I had absolutely no problem adjusting to a single-sex school...and there are so many benefits to a woman's college that I can't even take the time or space to list them all here. The campus is gorgeous. Food is guaranteed to help you add "The freshman 15". There is a niche for everyone here, you just have to find it. Lynchburg isn't the most exciting city in the world, but they really try to have activities on campus and there are enough other colleges around that social life was never really an issue for me. I found myself academically challenged and enjoyed the very close relationships that develop with faculty members. I will NEVER regret my decision to attend R-MWC!

This is a universityQuite BrightPhilosophy
This is a university of rich kids... the princesses of the south, who are inevitably close-minded. The school claims to support leadership and individuality, but if you disagree with a single school policy, then you're screwed . . .

Question
RMWC is definitely not a place for peopleQuite BrightPreLaw and Legal
RMWC is definitely not a place for people whose main goal in college is to party as much as possible. It is a highly rigorous, highly academic environment for people who are serious about their education.

BUT: The dorms and the food are GREAT! They are huge, you don't feel like you're living in a 2x2 box like at other schools, and there is PLENTY of storage.

The professors are HIGHLY accessable, for help and even to make sure that you get into the classes that you need. At R-MWC, basically, ask and you shall receive.

Despite what some people say, ther ARE things to do at RMWC. It's all a matter of going out and actually motivating yourself to find something you are interested in, meet people, try new things, etc. It's not a place where things are going to be handed to you.

At RMWC, you're going to work hard, you're going to really really know your stuff inside and out by the time you finish a course, and you're going to get a first-class education.
