UVM, is an amazing school.BrightOther
UVM, is an amazing school. The schools atmosphere will give you a better understanding of yourself. I am a out of stater from New Jersey, i am not a "hippy" i dont do drugs, i like to party and get a good education. UVM provides all of that! downtown is sick, great shopping cute little stores but also your typical name brand stores (ex. Gap, Macy's extra.) UVM has something for everyone. If you like/love the outdoors and like to be active uvm is for you. There is always something going on, stuff you can do. I have a few friends that are even from the west coast, yes they say its different, but they also love it. UVM is expensive, and yeah some private schools are cheaper but the community inside uvm is worth it. There finical aid program is pretty good so there's a plus. Im saying if you like the outdoors, having a good time, getting a good education.... UVM is for you!

Question
I must say, in response to previous commentsQuite BrightEducation
I must say, in response to previous comments about the stereotypical students here at UVM and who will fit in here, I truly believe everyone can find a place here at UVM. They really value individual differences. I am a fairly conservative, Christian. I don't drink or do drugs. I don't know how to ski or snowboard. I grew up on the west coast, in warm weather, so coming to UVM is the exact opposite of everything I have ever known, yet I love it here. I have never been anywhere quite like Burlington. It's a big school, but it feels small. The teachers and various campus organizations are willing to help you however they can. People here are really nice, accepting, and very friendly. In my opinion, college is a place to grow as an individual, and coming to UVM has been a huge eye-opener for me. I have been introduced to so many different cultures and backgrounds. The campus is beautiful. Burlington is wonderful. Church St. and the lake are in walking distance. Everything you need is right here. I would 100% without a doubt recommend this school to anybody. Even if you aren't sure about it, I would recommend at least checking it out. Happy college applying!! :)

Question
I chose UVM initially mainly because it wasQuite BrightMath
I chose UVM initially mainly because it was the best value in terms of rep & educational quality for the money I would pay.

Since I've been here, I absolutely love it. The professors are world experts in their fields, the classs are small (my largest is 32 students), and are very friendly and willing to discuss topics.

The campus is wonderful, the students are amazingly friendly, the food's great, the library's awesome. Basically UVM rocks. Don't just set your sights on the ivies or top 30 schools -- I turned down several top 30 schools for UVM and I do not regret the decision one bit :)
