I have been at UVM for 3-1/2 yearsBright
I have been at UVM for 3-1/2 years now and I couldn't ask for a better experience. UVM provides students with talented faculty that are able to work with all sorts of learning styles. My professors in Community Development and Applied Economics have really gotten to know the students personally.Burlington and Vermont offer so many different activities it is nearly impossible to be bored. The mountains aren't far and the city is full of creativity with a great music scene. The size of the University makes it so there is always a familiar face, but never the same face over and over again. UVM provides an extremely balanced lifestyle.

UVM is a wonderful university - there isQuite BrightSociology
UVM is a wonderful university - there is a wide variety of majors and minors to chose from - the faculty is very helpful and genuinely interested in their subject areas. Students are so friendly, independent, and hardworking. There are so many activities to get involved in - sports teams, clubs, student organizations, etc. The weekend is also so much fun here - there are hockey and basketball games, activities going on that are sponsored through the school, and downtown Burlington which is fantastic. Not to mention the amazing views.

I transferred from another school and could not have made a better choice. This school has plenty of opportunities but they are not handed to you. If you want your professors to know your name, you have to talk to them, they won't seek you out. Joining a club is a good idea. Id highly recommend learning how to ski or snowboard cause that's what everyone does every weekend the second it starts to snow or at least make a good friend that doesn't know how to snowboard/ski
