I can only speak for the history and political science departments. I know I received a quality education; even with a bachelor's degree I have successfully debated PhD level historians and am now teaching high school level social studies at an exclusive private school. BJU has relatively low entrance requirements, but once you are admitted they expect you to maintain a relatively high GPA.

I sent in an application. The application does require references. The ACT is also a requirement.
It is not difficult to get in if you have a desire to attend a Godly Bible-believing school. I would recommend that you work very hard in high school. Though their acceptance policy is fairly liberal when it comes to grades, they do not pass you just because you attended class. You have to be able to earn the grade even if that means taking the class over and over.

It is very easy to get into this university. As long as you have a reasonable GPA from high school and you have like beliefs they will take you in for a year. If after that year you decide you are not on the same page as them they will ask you to leave. During my time there I saw many asked to leave for this reason.

Th university is not very selective academically. They focus more on involvement in churches of the "right" kind--the far right kind. If you are not involved in a far right church, you probably won't get in.
