Try to do as well as you can on your ACT/SAT. It's not a big deal if you don't get an amazing score. If you think your scores are too low, try to add value to your application in other ways. Incorporate what you do outside the classroom, such as community service or sports. Also try to finish strong senior year of high school. I know it's tough, but just do it. Do really well on the placement tests for math and foreign language. Test out of as much as you can!!! Take as many AP classes as you can!!! I wish I would have done these things myself. Honestly, do you want to have to take Algebra, Trig, Chemistry, History, and English all over again in college? HELL NO. Pass those AP classes and entrance exams with flying colors so you can graduate early and save yourself hella money.

I'm not going to say it's easy to get in. I had a decent amount of heavily involved extra curriculars. My course load included just 2 AP classes. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA but my SAT scores were only a 1630 (Math,Reading,Writing). Not the most impressive so I wouldn't say it's hard to get in but don't slack off if you want to go here. They're still pretty selective.

Getting in is so easy a caveman can do it. Have a mediocre sat score and gpa. Also, I would send a list of after school activities, clubs, services etc. they always look good on applications.
