Pardon the vile language on the para aboveDec 22 2019Unknown
Pardon the vile language on the para above. I'm a fairly intellectual kid with a 3.4 right now and 1450 SATs. Drexel gave me a okayish scholarship, and the CS dept. is fine. So, I came.

I got nearly the exact SAT scores as the average accepted student to Drexel as well as GPA in high school. Drexel was the only University I applied to and got in. They know only about an 8th of the students make it through the program so a lot of the accepted students end up just giving the university money so please consider your options before going here.

To be honest, I was a mediocre student in HS, had average SAT scores. Had a ton of extracurriculars and community service though.

I am here on a national merit scholarshipMar 11 2016Engineering Department
I am here on a national merit scholarship. I did a few things in high school and had a job in a cafe, but I'm pretty sure it was my high test scores and GPA that got me into the honors college as well. Drexel was my first choice even though I probably could have gotten into an Ivy. It's easy to get into Drexel so long as you have a solid GPA (at least 2.0, 2.5 or up recommended, but that's just an estimate). If you're interested in engineering, I recommend that you get as much coding, robotics, and/or CAD experience as possible just because it will make it easier when you get here and open up more opportunities. I didn't know any of that before coming but I turned out fine, you catch on quick.

Rock your PJan 08 2015Computer Science
Rock your PSATs and get a National Merit Scholarship! One of last top schools to offer a great package. If that opportunity has passed, do well on your SAT/ACT and have a great GPA. Do some research on your own and show it on your application. This is a big research school so give them what they want. Also, if you are sure on Drexel, take a summer program. It more than pays for itself as you get a scholarship each year you attend after.
