I had really high SAT scores and a really good GPADec 30 2009Economics
I had really high SAT scores and a really good GPA. Around ~3.7 I highhly suggest requesting an interview and let the University know you and how the school will benefit you. Show them that an invest in you will be an investment in themselves. Everyone here is truly motivated and it is in your best interest to show them that you can fit that pack. And that is through test scores, GPA, recommendations, essays, accomplishments etc.

Be wicked smart and PushMay 11 2009Unknown
Be wicked smart and Push. Try as hard as you can. Send five recommendations if you have to. Set up an interview. Show them that you can thrive in their school. Show a a lot of passion and interest in the school. Syracuse would rather have bright students who are truly interested in learning and making the most of their time than a bunch of valedictorians without a purpose or direction.

have a solid background and Ace your classes. Don't send in crap on your resume. It's Syracuse after all! Be honest, be creative, be genuine. If you're a minority then you'll have a leg up.

Interview process and lengthy application to get into Newhouse, but well worth it.
It sounds so obvious, but do whatever you can to set yourself apart from others.

Schedule an interview! The interviews weigh heavily on the decision to let students in. Syracuse wants to put a face and personality to your application, and the interview is ur only chance to stand out, besides the essay.
